Reformation X New Balance Sustainable Sneaker Collab
Early in October, New Balance teamed up with Reformation to make a huge leap in the sustainable sneaker industry!
New Balance, the Boston based sneaker brand, teamed up with Reformation, the sexy and sustainable womanswear brand, to release a new line of sneakers, with a focus on making sustainability stylish. Taking the classic New Balance 574, 997W, and X90 styles, Reformation gave the shoes their own spin, changing up the colorways and adding romantic pastel touches, as well as changing up production methods and materials for their sneakers.
According to Reformation’s website, Ref X New Balance sneakers are “...made using eco-friendly materials like post-consumer recycled polyester in the linings, laces and labels, chrome free suede, and shoe inserts made from a combination of EVA foam and BLOOM algae.” So not only is the collab taking care of you, with materials that are healthy and comfortable for your skin, but also taking care of the planet, by using recycled and sustainable materials. And you get to elevate your everyday style while helping the environment!
